Colocation in NextDC and Equinix, operated by one accountable team

Managed colocation, one accountable operator

Trucell holds rack space in NextDC and Equinix data centres with cross-connects into Azure (AMMP-approved), AWS, and Microsoft 365 ExpressRoute already in place. Rack, power, cooling, smart hands, change management, ISO 27001:2022 certified handling, and ongoing managed support tied into IT support, security, backup, and the rest of your operations. For organisations that need carrier-grade hosting but want a managed-IT provider responsible for everything in the rack, not a wholesale colocation contract you have to operate yourself.

You are in the right place if:

  • You need carrier grade hosting but want one provider responsible for everything in the rack, not just the space.
  • Workloads have to stay physical (imaging, storage, licensing, or latency), and the cloud paths beside them still matter.
  • You are leaving a server room or a wholesale colo and want the migration documented, staged, and owned end to end.

Not the right fit if you want raw wholesale space you operate yourself. We run colocation as a managed service: smart hands, change management, and one escalation path are part of the product, not extras.

Wholesale colocation vs a rack with an operator

The space is the easy part. The difference is who owns everything that happens inside it.

Wholesale colo contract

  • A rack and a power bill; everything inside is your problem
  • Smart hands billed ticket by ticket, with no context on your stack
  • Cross connect quotes that stall every cloud conversation
  • Separate vendors for space, network, backup, and support
  • Audit evidence assembled by you, facility by facility

Colocation with Trucell

  • One team owns the rack, the stack, and the escalation path
  • Hands on work done under change management, with your runbooks
  • Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 paths already wired
  • Space, connectivity, backup, and IT support in one thread
  • ISO 27001:2022 certified handling, with evidence you can file

What is included in the rack

The parts a wholesale contract leaves on your desk are the parts we run for you.

  • Rack, power, and cooling

Space in NextDC and Equinix data centres across Australia: rack spaces, private cages, and private suites where scoped.

  • Cross connects and cloud on ramps

Cross connects into Azure (AMMP approved), AWS, and Microsoft 365 ExpressRoute already in place, scoped to the workloads that use them.

  • Smart hands under change management

Hands on work in the facility follows your runbooks and our change control, with the context of your stack, not a ticket read cold.

  • Operations in the same thread

Monitoring, patching, backup and recovery , security , and IT support tie into the rack under one contract when you want them.

  • Evidence you can file

ISO 27001:2022 certified handling with documented change control; a SOC 2 Type II report is available under NDA. See certifications .

  • Connectivity between sites

Carrier neutral facilities with peering options, plus dark fibre and Metro Ethernet between sites and data centres when the design calls for it.

Facilities, cross connects, and connectivity

Trucell holds space in NextDC and Equinix facilities across Australia. Both are carrier neutral, so the network path is part of the design rather than an afterthought: peering, interconnects, and carrier choice stay open as your footprint changes.

Cross connects into Azure (AMMP approved), AWS, and Microsoft 365 ExpressRoute are already in place. Hybrid designs land next to the on ramps they need, and the same team that racks the hardware designs the connectivity, so a cloud conversation never stalls on a cross connect quote.

If you would rather not own hardware at all, dedicated servers and hosting run in the same racks under the same operations, and cloud covers private cloud, VPS, and Azure paths when workloads should not stay physical.

Scope a rack, a migration, or a hybrid landing zone

Tell us what runs today, what has to stay physical, and what should move. You get facility options, an interconnect plan, and a migration path with owners and rollback, not a floor plan and a price per rack unit.

What to include in your brief

  • Current facility or server room, and any contract end dates
  • Rack units, power draw, and the growth you expect
  • Workloads that must stay physical, and the cloud paths they touch
  • Compliance context (for example health, government, or finance)

Colocation questions

Direct answers to what facilities, procurement, and engineering teams ask first.

Who owns SLAs, physical access, and incidents?

Facility SLAs sit with NextDC and Equinix; Trucell holds the space and operates it under our ISO 27001:2022 certified management system. You raise one ticket with us and we own the escalation, whether the fix is a failed disk, a cross connect, or facility access under change control.

Can you migrate us out of a server room or an existing colo?

Yes. We document dependencies, recovery intent, and who operates what before anything moves, then run staged cutovers with agreed windows and rollback. The same team runs the estate afterwards, so knowledge does not leave when the project ends.

How do cross connects to Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 work?

Trucell already operates cross connects into Azure (AMMP approved), AWS, and Microsoft 365 ExpressRoute. We scope paths to your workloads and traffic, so hybrid designs land without a separate connectivity project or a surprise cross connect bill.

Do we have to take managed IT to use your racks?

No. Colocation with smart hands stands on its own. Most clients connect it to backup, security, or IT support over time because one accountable thread is the point, but what you operate and what we operate is scoped explicitly, in writing.

Where colocation connects

Colocation rarely stands alone. These are the lines clients most often run in the same thread.

Bring your rack list and contract dates. We map facility options, interconnects, and a staged migration path, and put names against who operates what.
