CrewPresence, designed, built, and run by Trucell, records arrivals and departures automatically: phones detect each site by geofence in the background, crews without a phone wear a Bluetooth helmet tag picked up by a site gateway, and asset tags and sensors show whether your plant is on site and whether a room is in range. Rosters, jobs, site chat, and emergency alerts live in the same app, and attendance exports straight to payroll, compliance, and client billing.
Paper sign in sheets, QR check ins, and end of week timesheets all depend on someone remembering to do something. On a busy site, they do not.

What to include in your brief
Crews accept attendance tracking when it is honest about what it sees. CrewPresence is built so there is nothing to see outside a nominated site.
The phone checks its position against each site’s boundary and records arrivals and departures. The path in between, on site or off, is never captured. On a commute, at home, or on a break, there is nothing to report.
A beacon has no GPS and no network of its own. It is only heard by a gateway at one of your sites, and away from site it is silent.
“Unpair this phone” is one tap away on the device itself, and tracking stops the moment it happens.
The difference shows up on the worst day of the project, and again every Friday at payroll.
Hardware is optional and one off. Gateways are reusable: when a project finishes, unplug it and move it to the next site.

Yes. There are native apps for both iPhone and Android, and a phone can be company issued or an employee’s own. Both apps do the same thing: geofence detection in the background, plus roster, chat, and alerts.
No. CrewPresence pairs to any iPhone or Android phone. For crews who should not or cannot carry a phone, a helmet tag does the job instead.
No. The app only compares a phone’s position against the boundary of a nominated site. Outside that boundary, on a commute, at home, or on a break, it has nothing to report. Beacons have no location of their own and are only heard by gateways at your sites.
Nothing is lost. Presence events queue on the device and sync automatically when it is back online, with the app retrying in the background every 15 minutes.
